Information on Online Registration
IS ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR ME?
Online registration is one of five ways to register for West Shore Rec
activities. The company that provides the online service charges a
convenience fee, which is similar to buying tickets through Ticketmaster. If
you do not wish to pay the extra fee, then feel free to call or mail
your registration to West Shore Rec. You may also register in person by
visiting during office hours or using the drop box after hours.
Online registration may be the ideal method for you if:
- you cannot call during office hours.
- the desired program fills quickly.
- you are out of town during the busy registration time.
- you would like an instant confirmation of your registration.
- you don't mind paying a convenience fee (6.5% plus $0.50).
- you enjoy using your computer.
Online Registration
is available for most activities.
Please note:

plus $0.50 to register online, the minimum being $2. Combine your registrations
to save.
8 Non-residents must wait until the first day of non-resident
registration to register online
or 12 noon the day prior to the first day of class if the activity begins
before that day.

A confirmation of your registration will be e-mailed to you.

Should an activity be canceled due to low enrollment, West Shore Rec will
refund the cost of the
activity and the online convenience fee will be placed on your account for
future enrollments.

Your Calendars For The
2009 YORK COUNTY SENIOR
GAMES
The York County Senior Games will be held June 21 through June 28,
2009. You must be a York
County resident and 50 years of age by December 31, 2009, or older, to
participate. There will be a variety of competitive and noncompetitive
activities, something for everyone. If you participated in the 2008 Senior
Games you will automatically receive a registration booklet for the 2009
Senior Games in March. For more information or if you would like to be
added to the Senior Games mailing list, please call Melissa at (717)

HELP IS AVAILABLE WITH OUTDOOR
CHORES
The Rent-A-Kid program sponsored by the York County
Area Agency on Aging (YCAAA) is an intergenerational program bringing senior
citizens and teenagers together. Senior citizens 60 years of age or older
who need help with various household chores, yard work, or snow removal can
contact YCAAA to hire a teenager in their area. The recommended payment is
$5.00 per hour.
Don’t wait until the leaves are on the ground or snow
starts to fall. Arrange for help with your outdoor chores BEFORE you need
it. Call (717) 771-9103 or 1-800-632-9073 for information on Rent-A-Kid
participants in your area.
